Scott

Scott Wenholz (Drums & Vocals)

Scott is a drummer deeply rooted in theory and timing, who has been playing professionally for over 25 years. At Gilroy High School, he was heavily influenced by a wide breath of artists from Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich to Neil Peart and Tito Puente. While pursuing his passion for latin jazz in college, Scott played percussion with Fresno flamenco group Cerro Negro. Scott was later adopted as a drummer for the Fresno rock/country cover band, Bigg Kidd.

After graduating college, work brought him back to San Jose, CA in which he coordinated with local friends as part of their music projects; Dub Four, The Jeff Hinkin Band, and more recently The Degenerates. With an uncommon musical range, Scott has been known as a musical force in the local area. His versatility is witnessed in his drum stylings and vocal harmonies.

In his spare time he records and produces under Big Red One Productions, which has an album on iTunes "The Great Refuge".  Scott has a knowledge of music that spans outside of the kit with his impressive roster of instruments that he collects and plays.
