Forest

Forest Wilson (Bass/Vocals)

Forest has been playing music of various styles and singing since he was five years of age. Hailing from a diverse musical family, Forest enjoys performing, writing and engineering recordings and is co-founder and engineer at the Tool Shed Studios in Morgan Hill California. His career in the multi-media business spans over ten years and he has been a recording engineer for nearly 20.

Forest graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1999 with a degree in Music Production and Engineering where he sharpened his craft and honed his listening skills through ear training and harmony studies. Music has always been a big part of his life and he enjoys collaborating and creating new music with others. 

When Jorge asked Forest to join Steel Horse in 2012, he was excited at the opportunity to be a part of this very talented group of musicians with a passion for creating a fantastic live experience for the audience. Forest is a Grammy voting member of the Recording Academy's San Francisco Chapter (NARAS) and his influences include: Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, Tim Commerford, Mark King, Percy Jones, Sting, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Guy Pratt, Nathan East and Steve Bailey to name a few.
